Choosing a Home Survey Level
To help you choose the right survey, we generally recommend our Level 2 Home Survey for modern, conventionally built homes that appear to be in good condition, typically those constructed within the last 50 years. This survey provides a valuable visual inspection.
For older properties, those in need of significant repair, buildings with unique construction, listed buildings, or if you’d simply prefer a more in-depth assessment, our Level 3 Home Survey is ideal. It includes a comprehensive analysis, with invasive testing where necessary, to provide a detailed understanding of any potential defects.

Drone Surveys
We also offer Drone Surveys with thermal imaging capabilities which are highly beneficial for roof inspections and perfectly compliment the Home Survey activity. The use of a drone allows our surveyor to more closely inspect roof condition and provide an opportunity to collect data about the insulation effectiveness, making this a popular Home Survey add on.
Private Market Valuation
While a home survey provides a comprehensive assessment of a property’s condition, adding a private market valuation offers a crucial financial perspective. This valuation provides an independent and accurate estimate of the property’s worth in the current market, separate from the survey’s focus on physical condition. Having both reports empowers you with a complete understanding of your investment, enabling informed decisions during price negotiations and ensuring you’re paying a fair price.
