Drone Roof Inspections
The Perfect Partner for Your Home Survey
Drones have revolutionised property surveying allowing the capturing high-definition photographs from the air. Pushing beyond the constraints of a standard home survey a drone roof inspection allows a clear view of the most critical part of the structure: the roof.
Our drone roof inspections act as the perfect complementary service to our Home Surveys, providing the “birds-eye view” detail needed to complete your property assessment. The use of a drone allows our surveyors to better identify issues such as cracked tiles and mortar, blocked guttering, or early signs of moss growth. By combining a traditional survey with aerial insights, you get a more complete understanding of your investment.
Why Ground-Level Inspections Can Fall Short
Standard external roof inspections are only carried out from the vantage point of the external ground level with the use of binoculars.
The Visibility Gap
From the ground, your vantage point is naturally limited. Critical areas – such as gutters, valleys, and chimney stacks are often obscured or entirely occluded. This is especially true for complex roof designs.
The Drone Solution
We bridge this gap offering high-resolution drone technology. By taking to the air, we capture imagery from different perspectives ensuring no “hidden” issues turn into expensive repairs.

Drone Thermal Imaging Photography*
Our Qualified Drone Surveyor will take 4K quality imagery of your property, allowing any previously unseen defects to be identified.
IQS’ state of the art drones are equipped with an infra-red thermal camera meaning we are able to capture thermal images of your property to identify where your property is losing heat. We will then provide suggested improvements on how to mitigate this heat loss in the survey report and identify any other potential defects.
*Selected locations only. Thermographic services are subject to seasonal suitability and optimal weather conditions. As such, service availability will be assessed and scheduled based on these factors. Please call to discuss.
